Having a night out in Münster

With a total of over 1000 bars, restaurants, cafés and clubs, Münster offers a nightlife to go out in that can hardly be described in terms of variety. Particularly noteworthy are the harbour and the Kuhviertel, which have the highest density of pubs.

Jovel Music Hall

Since 2008, the Jovel has been located in Münster on Albersloher Weg opposite Halle Münsterland. The listed industrial complex, which was once used for wagon construction and later as a car factory, is home to the new Jovel after its reconstruction. Next to the Jovel Music Hall, there is the Jovel Club and the Jovel Lounge. The Music Hall, the centerpiece, regularly hosts large concert and disco events.

Hawerkamp

On the site of a former construction company on Hawerkamp, you will now find a colorful mix of exhibition spaces, clubs and much more. Hawerkamp has been making history as a cultural location for 25 years now. Art exhibitions, concerts, club festivals, art courses, legendary crossover events, concerts in screwdriver workshops, theater in the old factory hall and festivals on the open-air grounds attract thousands of visitors

Harbour – Kreativkai

With the restructuring of the Münster harbor area, an urban quarter with a colorful mix of culture, services and leisure – the “Kreativkai” – was created in the direct vicinity of the city center. Numerous bars, cafés, pubs and restaurants have found their place here in new buildings and old warehouses directly on the waterfront and captivate with a special flair.

Kuhviertel

The Kuhviertel, a traditional entertainment district is a lively mix of student pubs and cozy, typical Westphalian historic pubs and restaurants. The old brewery and restaurant Pinkus Müller is surrounded by well-known academic beer houses such as the Carvete (the oldest student pub) or the Blue House.

Cineplex

The state-of-the-art Cineplex and the traditional Schloßtheater are managed by Münster’s Filmtheater-Betriebe. The Cineplex has more than 2700 seats in 9 cinemas, is fully air-conditioned and equipped with the latest 2D/3D image and Dolby Digital sound technology, which makes a visit to the cinema a unique experience.
